Jon Satrom, Cracked iPads

Infused with glitched media and structured by cracked glass, Satrom's Cracked iPads exist at the interchange of e-waste and objet d'art. Each device is unique, its content curated from physical and digital accidents. They are devices where multi-touch functionality can cause slivers and glitches bend to the broken structures of their containers. These artifcats glow with the aestheticization of our contemporary compromized computer condition.

Jon Satrom undermines interfaces, problematizes presets, and bends data. He spends his days fixing things and making things work. He spends his evenings breaking things and searching for the unique blips inherent to the systems he explores and exploits.
